The Chest has raised over $2 million in support of key local services:
Health & Wellness
Including medical and dental services, mental and behavioral health services, primary prevention programs and programs for the elderly
Education
Promoting learning at every stage of life including at the pre-school level, elementary, middle and high school programs and post-secondary degrees and certificates
Community Services
To enhance the lives of community members, including information and referral services, arts programs, after school programs, athletic leagues and outdoor activities
Basic Human Needs
With programs providing food, clothing and shelter

Since its launch in August 2022, the Hobe Sound Kids Program has cared for 60 children and families in need. Hobe Sound kids was created in partnership with Cleveland Clinic to address the pressing health needs of the uninsured and underinsured children in Hobe Sound. As a result, of this program Cleveland Clinic has created partnerships with other organizations to expand this concept to other areas of the community.
Hobe Sound Strong Start Initiative
The Hobe Sound Community Chest’s Strong Start initiative (HSSS) provides the necessary resources to enrich the lives and outcomes of Hobe Sound’s birth to age 4 population. Hobe Sound Strong Start is ensuring that children are ready to learn when they enter kindergarten which is the foundation for future success.
Scholarships for Hobe Sound Students
The Hobe Sound Community Chest Scholarship is awarded to public high school seniors who seek post-secondary education at college or a technical school. Applicants must live in Hobe Sound and demonstrate financial need, academic potential, and a strong work ethic. Scholarship amounts range up to $4,000 renewable for a maximum of four years. The number of scholarships varies. Students can learn more about the process through their school.
